In exciting news, Leap has been selected to be a finalist at the Inclusive Innovation Challenge hosted by the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Among 300 applicant organizations from across the globe, a distinguished panel of judges rated Leap’s approach to driving skill development and opportunity matching in the digital age, through its flagship program, Propeller, to be the best-in-class. MIT has awarded $35,000 to recognize the innovative work Leap is doing.
Leap is now a part of a cohort of exclusive innovators and thought leaders who are revolutionizing access to opportunity and the future of work. Leap joins the ranks of organisations such as Duolingo, General Assembly and SAP SE as Inclusive Innovators: organizations around the world that are using technology to solve a grand challenge of our time — to create shared prosperity by reinventing the future of work. 16 winners have been announced across 4 categories: Skill Development and Opportunity Matching, Income Growth and Job Creation, Technology Access and Financial Inclusion.
Propeller is a blended learning program which mixes technology with class instruction, robust student activity data, personalized learning and increased engagement. Students in effect can chart out their own path for learning, do it at their pace and conveniently access the platform anywhere. Leap has developed this program by bringing various stakeholders together from across the country to build a high-quality, scalable and cost-efficient program.
